AI assistant skill

Install the official DockSpark skill from GitHub for setup guidance, everyday use, and troubleshooting in your AI assistant.

What the skill helps with

The official DockSpark skill on GitHub helps your AI assistant explain DockSpark, guide installation and browser profile setup, find official documentation, and troubleshoot common problems. You can ask in your own language.

The skill provides guidance. To switch profiles from the Dock, install the DockSpark app separately. The skill does not add a DockSpark CLI or dedicated automation API.

Install with the Skills CLI

Install Node.js first; check the Skills CLI documentation for current requirements. Run this command from your project directory:

Example
npx skills add DockSpark/DockSpark --skill dockspark

Choose your AI assistant when prompted, such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor. Installation is for the current project by default. To make the skill available across projects, use global installation:

Example
npx skills add DockSpark/DockSpark --skill dockspark -g

If you already have a local checkout of the public DockSpark repository, run npx skills add . --skill dockspark from its root.

Install manually in Codex

  1. Download or clone the public DockSpark repository.
  2. Copy the entire skills/dockspark directory, including SKILL.md, references/, and agents/, into ~/.agents/skills/dockspark for all projects, or .agents/skills/dockspark in your project.
  3. Reload your assistant's skills or start a new session if the skill does not appear. Other assistants may use different skill directories; follow their documentation.

Try it

In Codex, you can explicitly select the skill with $dockspark:

  • Use $dockspark to explain what DockSpark can help me do.
  • Use $dockspark to help me configure Chrome profiles.
  • Use $dockspark to troubleshoot why hovering over a Dock icon does nothing.

The bundled guidance was reviewed against DockSpark 0.5.0. For behavior that depends on the app version, include your installed version in the question. See the GitHub installation instructions for the source documentation.
